Salts coming out of plaster

Iv got some salt coming out of some plaster under some stairs. On a new build. Bonded and board finish. There is also salt coming out of some left over board finish, that was put on a bag? Is this a fault with the plaster?

How old is the bag ??

Calm down...........salt is natural and also hygroscopic.......brush it off, every day, and then it will dry.

BG will ony test the bag and say nowts wrong anyway

Sounds like it was put on thick. If you put finish on too thick you'll get a layer of efflouresence. I tell customers to wait until fully dry, scrape off and it will be fine
