You were paid to skim, You skimmed! Matey boy was paid too board it! nothing to do with u! Doctor just an educated blowhard who thinks his doctorate means he's qualified in building skills!!!!!He's a knob! a well fixed 12.5mm board ceiling will have no problem with 3 coats!
If the skim peeled off and the boards stayed on it would be a fair cop! But the boards dropped so F.U.C.K him!
 
engineers crack me up sometimes, theyd try and find a mathematical formula for setting time / temp x cups of tea and all the while the gears setting up...
ever watched an 'engineer' assemble flat pack furniture? the look on their little faces... ::) its like christmas...
 
How about this for an idea you have now posted two different threads on the subject both asking questions about your concerns. So what im suggesting is print off your threads and show this guy the responses you have had. And then wash your hands of him

A mate of mine did a job for an engineer once and hes giving it the large " Oh we work to X 1000th of a mill all that sh1t" my mate turned round and said "you would'nt work for me then cos im bang on" ;D

hey,lucius,i've heard jack julie,from the man. which i hope it stays that way. even though i'd quite happily argue my case to the death. with all the extra helpfull knowledge from you lads.
 
ask him this if a garage put a brand new new set of tyres on ur car and u decided to paint the alloys black cos u didnt like the silver and the y fell of would u take the blame....well something like that
