The govermant should of shielded the vennrable from January February. Stop crowded ffotball matches Cheltenham ect. Get the young and fit to work econmy still runing kids in school to get this herd immunity up to 50 60%. I think wer about 30 40 at moment. I think they have fuked up!

I think a balanced view is best. Just being positive is great but it’s also burying your head in the sand and leaving you wide open if things do go tits up because you wouldn’t be prepared.

Agree yes but I dont mean burying your head in the sand that's a different mindset than to being positive,some of shite hector has posted is crazy,just because bbc constantly ram it down our throats its guna happen dsnt mean it will.there never share good news as it's boring 4 them. My view is its guna be a v shape with a massive tax increase in roughly 2-3 years

people on full time pay have desagreed whith me about herd immunity. So if ther no vaccination I tell them it the only way.
 
I think the virus is far more predictable than the economy. There’s more chance of me dying in the van on the way to work than any of my household getting the virus. But there’s a hell of a lot of people that are going to suffer and deaths that can be attributed to an economic crash.

the guardian,independent,telegraph,times,financial times,sky and bbc are all excellent sources of info,and all are reporting today among many other news outlets about the severity and the nightmare realistic reccession that officially has started today,and how it is going to get worse over coming weeks and months,you will be affected pl in some way at some stage,we all will ,...........regarding your comments that they do not report good news because its boring for them,....well do you honestly think that they like reporting this disease/effects on economy etc,...well get used to it because there is other waves of this virus heading our way,and this entire coronovirus story will be with us for years and years yet

Thing is the amount of economic experts that have said it could be a v shape recovery,havnt heard that once on news.all I've seen is reporters going down street with camera in hand recording all shops closed and giving bleak outlooks..there f**k**g love scaremongering people its fact..it very well could be absoloute shite 4 nxt 10 years,but there spout it every day scaring people and there feed off it

The High street been f**k*d for years,
Those roulette machines sucked the life out of it when they were introduced Into the betting shops,people where doing their brains in them instead of spending else where,
kfc and McDonald’s all closed down in north end ( high street in Portsmouth) but in 500 yard radius you had ladbrokes, William hill, coral and a bet fred. Full of Geezers swearing at a machine, calling it a c**t etc

no dont think so pl,i think its you thats scared,worried apprehensive about future,as i am as we all are,the difference is i am facing up to this nightmare thats coming,where as you and others are attempting to put up this bravado/bbc /reporters claptrap, in the hope that if you shout and scream at the media long enough and hard enough the whole nasty virus will go away,well bad news lads its going to get much worse ,

Not worried 1 jott at minute hector and that's gods honest truth,I could go part time for the nxt 5 years and with the mrs wage so be ok..I worry for your state of mind tho hector if this is churning out in your head

well the only thing to do tonym,is watch and gather and read the upcoming news events over the next few days/weeks ,from a variety of different media sources,..try this internet thingy everybody is talking about ,newspapers /magazines/from all over the country, listen to radio 4,or independent radio stations,i do think that they will all be on the same track,that is reporting serious news,......just try it and after each week sit down and think

no thanks for your concern pl, i am part time ,just do jobs when i want to ,no mortgage, nothing big outgoing,as for state of mind just trying to get across an alternative viewpoint,because to be quite honest i dont see anybody else but me on this forum that is standindg up and saying different view,but dont forget you and i and a few more on this forum will be okay,......but, there will be a lot of lads on here with families worrying about sites closing down, less domestic work, shops closing where maybe there wives/daughters work , this country and indeed the world will be a different place
