blones is right the lime burns are mare. if your kecks get wet and you kneeling etc your thighs and knees end up raw as fukc.

best advice is dont mono in rain:RpS_thumbup:

although we did today:-0

Were you scraping back or spraying John? I couldn't give a s**t about blones and his poorly arms to be honest what's the most damage that can happen to a wall mate?

its a bad idea if the rain is hitting the wall, it will turn to mush and prob look awful after with bloom all over, paint is the cure. if the rain isnt hitting it then its just you getting sh1t up then it should be fine only the floor will look like soup after.

we were using granicem so it hangs for ages - we waited until the rain stopped then we put a cover over the roof, then scraped, after a few hours we took the cover down, messy work but the job is ok. other products go hard as fek the next day so you have to scrape early doors no choice we were able to wait see

The rokamat twin scraper sander thing I bought is good to take the top off mono, I got long life pads and the wanky ones but wanky ones are better because the teeth are off set so hit mono at different directions, you will put a panel on and and it won't kill you scraping next day if you have to. The wire brush thing is good for cleaning algae and the like, customers like it and it's quick to do, always a plus as long as you get a pound a m².

Quite a lot precious, but after a while they seem to pay for themselves, I paid £450 for mine then more for pads and discs.

i dont like scraping when its too hard/dry cant re-use the scrapings if any slacks plus its more effort, krend is usually good for next day but most go same day in summer but granicem is next day it seems to hang alot longer than the rest

Who makes granicem is it dear?....have you tried leaving a bit of gear in a bucket and putting some polythene over it so it stays a bit green for filling holes in the summer

never tried that spoonkster.
Granicem is cantillana's mono - SPS Envirowall in the uk. they have an advert sticky in here somewhere, its dear, but not as dear as krend say where you dont get a metre from a bag where as with granicem you get 1.25m at least from 30kg but I always work the rate out on square metre prices not bag price its square metre price is your true cost, weber will squeeze a metre out krend about 0.8m per bag parex 1.2 0r more

Cool, you know the filling holes thing break it up next day and just get a chunk and push it in then rub it in with a small tool and leave it half hour if you scrape it straight away it falls out and don't panic if it looks different colour next day it still cures the same
