Welcome along buddy :D

I would find a local plasterer and just drop in gradually then build your own work up on the side :D You still (probably) have a lot to learn :D

Stick around on here there are a lot of great plasterers on here that can lend some helpful advice and also supply the banter for the whole day if you are working alone :D

Welcome along!
If you can get enough work in to get by then go out on your own, if you not confident enough just try to get in with a firm even if the wage is not exactly footballer's wage you can still top it up with doing a few jobs on the side.
Best of luck

Welcome mate.... This place is a great place to be, great stuff for getting qualified. Now the fun begins.

My advice would be, stick to what you know and don't let any other trades swerve you. Also anything you are unsure of, then come on here and throw it out there.

There is some very skilled spreaders here who will be happy to help. :-)

Ring all the plastering firms you can find across the area you would be prepared to travel to. Tell them your story, offer yourself and hope to get a good reaction.
If anyone takes you on, always turn up, work hard, tidy and clean, and watch and learn.
Best of luck.

i guess that you are a young chap, so after a 3 year apprenticeship you should now be able to cover enough to go house bashing for your local big time plastering contractor. build up a some money before you start working for yourself.

Welcome Jack. Depends how confident you feel. If you've got that self assurance then I'd go for it. Van signs, website, logo'd shirts.

Welcome along bud, stick around here and have a good read through the archives . You'll see many others like yourself plus see lots of info on generating work. Best of luck

Hi, when I first qualified I worked for a local plastering company for a short time then went with agency work until I got fed up chasing round for paperwork signing at the end of each job. Been self employed for twenty years now and it is certainly better than working for a company.
