We went round with a hand scraper,sand paper and filler pal it dsnt look that bad now the cupboard Is only about 6 m2 so dint take long its not over a masdive area in a main room apart frm couple of pics with the beads not mitred up

Well people obviously do..i honestly thought with getting a bloke off here there wud be competent..think Il just stick to lads I know not worth the hassle

Ye pal a guy just posted on here he was available so I rang him..all from here so thought he was competent..it is my fault aswell I know that for paying him but end of day there will be people out there where there have payed them b4 seen job then its s**t I know this as I do abit of subbing for a big plastering company who turns over 5 million a year and he's payed blokes who have done a s**t job then I've gone in to sort there work out it happens main reason I posted this up was so other people on here dont give him work as he's obviously got sum from me so he mite cum bk on here asking for more
 
Hiya kitchy. Feel sorry for you mate, just wish we could have squeezed the job in for you. Spoke to Keith yesterday should be on his job soon.Were not all bad on the forum

Think this has scarred me for life lol..ye Keith rang me last week offering me loads but cant squeeze him in..glad I turned a little day work Job for sum1 Down 2day in branham glad I said no now as was guna put him on there
 
I have always found it hard to get others to work with that I could leave on jobs..i work with the guy who trained me up when I need help and my cousin who I trained up.i know one other plasterer who I would recommend or happily leave on a job for me..imo if I can't get jobs done between us 4 then it's better to just turn jobs away it's more hassle than it's worth it for the extra money you or I might make.
Imo smaller work load = happier life.
Clear up the job so your conscience is clear put it to bed and move on.

You sound just like all the guys who came here for advice and got slagged by you mate. Don't remember advising the to use filler and sand paper. It was bonding...... reskim......why did you pay before you saw the finished product....etc. Have a bit of self respect next time . Easy to criticise , but can you take the abuse? It's complete bs to go with filler and sand paper over it, you know that, but the way you managing it doesn't make you anydifferent than the chancers , you are calling them . No wonder why you didn't take Lodan to show him some bish bash bosh!

Thing is trying to expand but literally cnt find any decent lads out there! Doing these 37 appartments now boarding and skimming and the builder said he wants just us skimming them or any1 simular as he's told client our work is spot on I told him no chance we can do all these by oursens we will have to get help just need sum gud lads got 2 skimmers coming on job on week on Tuesday and there decent lads as worked with them but hate turning work down u wudnt believe how much we've turned down in last couple of week plasterman and the stuff we've got coming up we need to test the water and try find some gud lads

All decent people work for themselves, and that's always a problem when you trying to take more on to find someone semi-decent.

Sucks when you trust someone and they let you down.
I had an old mate of mine do some work for me who has his own plastering business , the first one was a ceiling that wasn't great I spent a few hours getting Good and put it down to a bad day for him!

Then after a few months I stupidly trusted him to hardwall a room out as I had loads on and didn't want to turn away work.

I went to skim it and the walls were all over the place. I called him up on it and his reply was " the walls were all over the place to start with"!

My reply "that's why I wanted them bloody floated!"

So I trained a bloke myself who is a stay at home dad and he does a few days a week for me and I know he's going to do a good job!

Want to take on another guy soon but it's finding people you can trust!

Mate feel for you cos you come across well alright and ain't a Arse know your stuff and to give someone a chance and it blows back in your face ain't nice but at least you will learn from it chin up mate never nice to feel that way but sure your bounce back

Did he use a flexi trowel?
 
Kitchy you were unfortunate to get mixed up with a pure chancer,you can't really pay someone for work that you haven't checked when you don't know them.The job is a disaster simple as that.It should be redone.
