Caspered is a forum trade joke, the same as popcorn - don't worry about it, he dopes.
"following the line of the Velux", if you have an original ridge line it might be it is warped up and down a bit and the rafters are following it, hence the interesting velux and wavy plasterboarding. As Dollar says, he's tried blending and buried the top bead. No excuses for builder or plasterer though, you should have been told in advance.
