skim fell off ceelin disaster

well today i just found out a ceeling in one of the bedrooms i plastered nearly hit the new tennants as they got shown round the house the paint had came away from the what could be distemper ,it also pealed off the back of the skim really easy its shook me up bit .i feel like i need to board every ceeling now could have been alot worse if it had hit them so how do you know whats gonna stick what will or wont you plaster over?

You can score the ceiling back to plaster with a criss cross pattern to give it a bit of a key, or remove the paint, an old boy told me he had a ceiling fall off so now he get's the laborer to score all painted surfaces

i might start doing that any sign of dodgy paint and il do that or board it ,could have been a nightmare the woman was shouwing the new tennant round the bedroom with a newborn baby and granny and husband they just got out befor the skim came down in the middle of the ceeling pics to follow tommorow
