Guys - it pains me to ask day 1 questions but Ive been having this argument with a mate who does a bit of plastering about skim depths
I was told about 2mm both coats, thin coat beads are 3mm - is that for 2 skims of finish or just 1 skim of one coat...
my mate brought me a dvd that he had and the chap on there said 3 to 4mm for first coat and about the same for 2nd coat which threw me - i thought it would have be prone to cracking if up to 8mm thick... i was told that if you need to build depth you use bonding on board or hardwall/browning on block..
so whats the general rule of thumb for multifinish - am i wrong in thinking 2 x 2mm coats is enough?
