Slimming

Listen, burger face.

While it's true that ultimately, less calories means less fat, there's plenty more than that to consider. You started down that road yourself only a post or two ago with eating at certain times (which is horse s**t.... next, you'll be saying no carbs after 7)

I honestly don't know about all this intermittent fasting and all that - but I do know that proper food five times a day did me a world of good. There is apparently, more to it if you really want to get picky and that's when it really comes down to people's unique bodies.
Eat what i want and t3s do the rest.!!!

@Stevieo iv done pen y fan, the fan dance in fact all the Brecon Beacons loads of times it’s nothing exciting and not many would donate to charity. If we’re going to do it let’s go big, how about we all carry a bag of plaster in a Bergen up snowdon or Ben Nevis or something like that. In all seriousness I am a qualified fitness instructor and PT it only costs me about 45 quid a year for insurance so I could cover you all as if we were on a lesson

I'd be up for it. To be honest, it doesn't matter too much of a fcuk to me - a hill's a hill. It's just that the Fan Dance is already an event.

That sounds f**k**g horrendous!!

Fine, I’m in

I weigh in at just over 15 stone now and I am 6ft 4... I am not in great shape these days. I am one of the annoying people who can hit a gym for a week and get back in to shape quite quick....

I will be doing this in January for the 3 peaks

No you listen lesbian wrestling face

If you want to educate yourself on diet go to the nearest gym. Find the person who’s in best shape and ask them.

And yes eating after 6 isnt good. Your body slows down at night. If anything you need a slow protein like cottage cheese.
Not exactly true, you can fool the body by eating the opposites, Big meal for breakfast and cerial for dinner, its mind tricks on the body, it all works.

You'll do well to drop 17lb in 3 months, never mind 3 weeks, unless you're planning to cut your head off?

Last time I wanted to drop some weight I cut out as many carbs as could especially spuds, bread, rice . Extra walking n weights and a stone dropped off in 5 weeks.
Planning to do it again for a bit after Xmas excess. For me Energy levels better on higher fat lower carb diet too.

Long term, that's a terrible strategy.

Fella I know went juicing. He'd seen some ridiculous advert that said if he only ate orange peel for a month or something, then he's lose ten stone.

I'll try to find the advert.

Well, indeed he did lose quite a lot of weight but there's a sugar molecule that binds with water. @Tinytom will probably know what it is, I can't remember. The thing about it is that if you cut the carbs, you burn the sugar. Each sugar molecule binds with like, five water molecules. No sugar - nothing for the water to bind to and you lose weight. Lots of it - fast. He was shedding pounds a day.

The thing is that sooner or later, you'll come off your diet and start doing the stuff that made you fat again - and bada bing, you'll probably be worse off than when you started.

Anyway, back to ole matey... sure enough, it was pretty much the case that he ate one pie and put all the weight he'd lost back on in an instant. The pie replaced the sugar in his muscles and he retained every drop of water that he drank for a couple of days.

Last I spoke to him, he'd been doing this ridiculous juicing thing for getting on a year and was heavier than when he started.

Nah, can't find the actual vid he'd been watching but there's a ton of bullshit here.

I can drop to 14 and half easy if I stop eating shite and kick the beer. Plan on doing 20 mins running and one muscle group a day as well

That's the plan matey....it's keeping it off that's the trick. That's why diets are all s**t. Unless you plan to change your ways permanently, then you'll always put it back on. If you do change your ways permanently, then you'll be a healthy weight and no 'diet' is necessary.

Mine goes up and down a little bit depending on how much beer I've been drinking. It's going down at the moment because I've been off it.

I like to eat well thats my prob. And at 43 I think why the f**k shouldn't I. It's finding that common ground. Ate like a rabbit and trained like f**k few years back but its not sustainable

You'd be surprised mate....I got weight off a few years ago by stuffing my face every two hours with all the right stuff. I was eating so much that I was actually sick of the sight of food. That, and doing boot camp/hiit/circuits every day.

I eat healthily in moderation and sensible treat at weekend and it works for me over the years, but after Xmas or hols if I want to rip off a bit of weight I just cut the carbs for a bit then carry on as normal. It works for me. And sugar is a huge problem in creating obesity in uk. Natural protein and fat diet is what we are built for so the body processes it better, compared to high sugar, processed chemical junk food , which is cheap to produce and profits producers, its easily available and convenient for a lazy society that cant be arsed to cook as much as decades ago when obesity wasnt a major issue ! Advertising is a major factor in fattening the population as well as a sedentary life style which now prevails especially in the young. Imo.

I'm an ultra fascist about all this. It's not even so much about being fat - if it was, I wouldn't drink guinness.

When I started looking into it, under every stone with the food industry lies something nasty. Guaranteed that if it comes in a packet, somebody has f**k*d about with it in some way and it's also guaranteed that they didn't do it for your benefit. Make it brighter, last longer, go ripe at the right time....and it's fcukign everything...you know they even pass tomatoes through gas to make them ripe a day or two before they go on the shelf?

I don't have a garden but when I do, I'm going to start growing. For now, I only buy stuff off proper traditional people. I fuckign hate the bastards....absolutely hate them. What sort of a person makes evil shite like cereal and then deliberately sells it to children?
