Yes mate they would have been. These were about four weeks ago when I had the lake electrofished. No one really fish's for them apart from me occasionally. They have a nice easy life.

We used to fish for em as kids with trebles n traces . Then use jackies to catch big ens that were down sink holes in lake

@essexandy this is lake where i grew up . Used to be a spa town with people coming from all over . The dark spots are the sink holes what we called pits that were caused when the did the pits . Think there bout 12 meters deep . They did a dive down em and found gold roman coins. Used to swim in it as a kid

That brings back good memories as a kid my grandad used to take me pike fishing, he used to take the Jack pyke, he had a cast iron bath in a barn with salt water in he put them in there and eat them.

I don't know he used to do the same with Zander, I always thought it was to do with the mud taste,
Anyway a lot went with him he was an old retired gamekeeper, used to eat all kinds I think he only went to the supermarket for ice cream and whiskey.

Thats bang center of village .theres two more in country park one with some big carp . Other your not meant to fish but we used to go with 6 ft rods and spinners i think there called . You.d catch a perch (them with spikes )every catch almost
