Had mine about 2 years its great to plaster with as is as sharp as a razor and blade is very fine, one of the rivets has popped on the blade so won't last that much longer. Need to break a new one in, any suggestions to speed up process?

Same here mate got a brand new one never used it as forgot about it got to be 26 years oldTyzack double hang centenary about 26/7 years old and still in pristine condition, forgot to mention the fact taht I bought it put it away and forgot all about it. Just cant bring myself to use it!!!!!
I have been loving round the local car boot market for some vintage trowels,I knew someone who found a cracking set for very little money,I havnt found any as yet just an old tyzack tuck pointer,there's loads of brick trowels just not plasteringI just like seeing old trowels. Sad or what lol

I love the Booties, always find some little gems. I have a set of small tools, pointers margin trowels that are so worn in the are a treat to use. Think I haggled the guy down from 40p to 30p....KERCHING !!!!
Yea they're great,there's one in our town every Sunday and I try to get down when I can and see what's about,as you said you can find some right gems for next to nothing in cost,my last two surforms came from the car boot,both metal one small one large the blades good as new £1 each,bargainI love the Booties, always find some little gems.
