Does nobody use a pool trowel for laying on dash receiver? That spat trowel is rediculous imo.
Also wondering how much you had to pay for the chipped windows....not even some film over them!?
Got that belle end cleaner down to a good price now Rich. Not sure how much but theres a link on the review i did. Sure i can help a brother outWhat kind of money are those spats @pft Wales , will I have to sell a kidney to afford one, then be forced to buy some belle cleaner aswell?

Should see the arms on me lol
We always cover them just to be safe for the sake of a roll of film. Saves alot of cleaning as well tbf
Just a normal marshaltown for laying on. I have heard some guys use pool tro, never fancied it myself. but i have to say the flex in that spat blade worked great for flattening off. Definitely do it that way from now on
GerritonthewallmrsreillyPool trowel definitely worth using you get loads less lines, always used MT ones but bought a nela one last time and its just as good
Never heard it called Dorset pea gravel mate, it's just standard pea gravel every merchant round my way stock it in ton bags.its a nice mix or brown looks lick peanut brittle when done lol, much nicer than Canterbury spa and such, plus it's peanuts to buy. Or there's a smaller one I use sometimes if matching a old council house type.Pea gravel? Is that dorset pea you mean leeroy... Loads of houses done in Dorset pea round my way..popular on the housing schemes.

That looks like the gravel mate, but it must of been put on with a rake
Are you saying I need to take dashing off my business card [emoji30]That looks like the gravel mate, but it must of been put on with a rake
that dashing job was mint meesh, don't be rippling nor nuthing. hows about getting some vids up of you with youre belle mixer ? ill expect something top draw from yourselfI thought the vid was painful to watch i'l stick with traditional sand cement that spat thing looked ridiculous and looked rippley as fook. No doubt you machine lads will say different but the orange machine I use is a belle cement mixer
I will next time pal you wont be dissapointed either! !that dashing job was mint meesh, don't be rippling nor nuthing. hows about getting some vids up of you with youre belle mixer ? ill expect something top draw from yourself
Mono blanc is a finer grade yes like gf.That mention of a spec using pral m same day is interesting if anyone can share it.
I use K Rends dash receiver and find it ok. Sometimes starts to skin though on a warm day so you have to be quick.
Is Parex mono blanco a finer grain than GM? Like GF? Parex goes wet as soon as you touch it with a spat so if it stays wet long enough before stiffening up couldn't mono blanco be used as a dash receiver?
Also would there be any problem using left over GM as a base coat?
