Sourcing Multi

Just tried Weber pral m really thin about 3 mm on boards with a soft sponge and few cross trowels , think I’ve hit the jackpot tbh
New market , skim pre painted any colour you like but will push chalk and ivory for sales

all this mixer shaming thats been going on for years... people were doing it last time i was on here regularly 10 years ago.... oo ive got a megamixer you must be a s**t plasterer knocking up wi that shitty evo mixer!! (evos are s**t i admit but im just making a point, ive got a sparky with a reverse spiral cullomix quick release paddle that hasnt been quick released since i first bought the thing and it aint let me down in 5 years but then i aint on it full time either)..

So take it back a few years and every plastering gang I knew were a 2+1 big fuckoff labourer, i was still a kid, me dad was a builder/joiner/civil engineer so i seen a lot of it ...
team rocks up on a job...
"HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAAAA what do you call that raleigh chainwheel plunger mate??? what a load of s**t you wanna get yourself a claude butler like ours! you can charge what the f**k you like"

Everybody seemed to have a 9" trowel too... none of this 14" marshaltown pre worn stainless even got the corners rounded off s**t...

wasnt too long ago people were flattening off with fire exit signs? the holy grail of flexible trowels... :inocente:

Every plasterer should have a proper mega mixer in my opinion.there cost £350 ffs..a shortly little mixer ain't guna knock up 5 bags of adesive in a cut off water barrel.i see a plasterer get a shitty little aunt bessys mixer out of van my instant thought is amateur..
They probably just have no desire to ever knock up 5 bags of adhesive

It dsnt matter if ur only desire is 1 bag at a time, its amateurish to not have a mega mixer..that's FACT
Probably part of reason why I'm not desperate to get multi and worrying about when I can get back to work, as I only buy the tools I need for the job I want to do. How much is your £350 megamixer earning you a day atm?

Robbo,robbo,robbo..only you could turn this into a argument.its earning me nothing, but my 5 properties I have are earning me £1850 ish per calendar month after mortgages etc deducted so my mega mixer dsnt need to earn me anything you see :birra:

You're calling everyone without a £350 mixer an amateur. That's most of the people on this site

9” trowel?

End of day it doesn’t matter what knocks the gear up, what you lay it on with , or flatten in with . All that matters is the standard of the finished article , your reputation and the dosh in the bank
how long does a shitty £60-£100 mixer last for? And it's only mixing prob 3 bags a day,bet it still burns out after couple years, mega mixers last 15 years plus and there mixing 10 bags a day
