The EZE and Speedskim both have replaceable blades.

We now have 2 versions of the pole and attachment available. We have the standard with a 1.5m Pole or you can now get an adjustable pole for it. Stock on the poles will be arriving with me this week

Lads ,
out of the 3 is there much difference? going to take the plunge :)

.EZE is £82 with pole (800) https://www.gypsumtools.com/eze-spats.html
Speedskim is £50 with attachment (1200) https://www.gypsumtools.com/eze-spats.html
Refina is £90 with pole (800) Link Removed

the speedskim is near half the price and AFAIK you can use any decorating pole?

out of the 3 is the EZE what you would all recommend?
And if you damage the edge can you get a replacement blade?
cheers
Don't be a dick and get the eze the spares cram is cheap for reason pal !!!

These spats are fine for finishing if you have a completely flat plasterboard ceiling. If you don't which in my case is 99% of the time then they are a complete waste of money.
Disagree, done many artex ceilings with the eze and it's absolutely spot on. It's hit and miss on the odd re-skim where the walls are all over the shop admittedly but apart from that it can be used with good results.

I have the speedskim and refina spat, if I had to choose I would have the spat..... I would like to know if the eze spat is better than the refina.... I know you can swop blades ...

Nice one , ill get the 800 EZE
last question , is the blade similar to the Nela?
That nela was a game changer , i dunno how i ever worked without it now and ive only had it a month!

I'd start with that in mind John, but you will find your own way.... Some don't use water with them for eg, I have to!! Only a little but need it all the same.
You can flatten with them also.

Hi lads. In what workplace situations would you use a spat? I'm interested. Also, has anyone ever tried rollering skim coat on? I know it sounds crazy but in America a few years ago when I stayed with my sister for six months I saw a drylining contractor use a roller for jointing compound on a ceiling. He just rolled it on and then went over it with a rubber squeegee a poll.
