Speed skims

I'm same. Bought one thinking I could do whole houses in a day with it.

Laid on, went to flatten with the speedskim and pulled all the plaster off the wall. Chucked it in the van and never used it again.

good for a couple of flattens on large ceilings. can’t see how to hold it and maintain even pressure on it. No good for walls imo

Same with the nela flex I bought. Laid on with it once and finished. Light changed and I had to do it all again.

you ever tried a large speed skim on a wall? Nothing like a feather edge
Only a 1.2, but the method of handling it is exactly the same as when using a 2.5 featheredge. Bear in mind that for the first 25+ years all my work was f&s, using a featheredge is just second nature to me.
