dnt need to do anything to break in the blade really mate dnt even round the corners off, we tend to use my one on the pole quite alot nowadays if you havent got the pole attachment i would say its worth getting one:RpS_thumbup:

what the bloke whos in the vids........?? no for a starters he lives in kent and im in hertfordshire thats 60 miles appart ****** if i would be driving all that way to work with...........that

To be fair 60 miles is not far.Like Beddy said, you have all the gear that Jon was trialing for someone, just seems a coincidence Beddy mentions it and the f\acts add up.

what gear is that then?? i havent trialed anything only that trowel that ryan sent out months ago

and 60 miles is a bloody long way when you have a gas guzzler like i do i would not be goin that far

Thought you did a job for him before, remember that house that he Couldn't finish the one where the Pic of him in his mates car was took lol.
He was on about it on diynotforum aswell.
Was he on he job with you Mate?

The Speedskim on the pole, Dom and his mates trialed it for some Geezer, now you use it and sing its praises like Dom did.Seems fishy to me.Also 50 miles really aint that far.

So which part of AJH Plasterers are you.

@Nisus yeah years ago he messaged me on diynot asking me to do him a favour and finish some work he couldnt do for some reason but when i got there no one was there the house was no where near ready to be finished and the work that had been done was dog rough so i diddnt want to get envolved in it, turned around and went back home. @kebab king ive always like the speed skim i had a few problems when it very first came out scott sent me new stuff to replace the shite parts and ive still got those bits now. so just because i like something means i work with him?? by that reckoning so do you because you also own a trowel.
i actually work for s.simmons contractors.......we do some work for the clay monster every now and then hes the only person off the forum ive met

P.s sorry for the rant just completely disagree and before you say it I'm no cowboy ill put my finish against anyone's lol

I used a speedskim the other day :-) It was bloody handy for a ceiling and even better for the barrel bits :-)

the plaster sets in hour and half ? Am I missing something do you lay on with you're speedskim?

You're not missing anything I'm just missing a second coat I mix 2.5 bags in 75ltr bucket dub my joints out as I go wack a load on quick! Lol.then when it's on I clean my bucket and hand board and even my trowel then I flatten with my 16inch trowel, light twitch then second flatten with my 600 speed skim twitch again wet trowel twitch and angels and a final plastic.does that clear things up I use to two coat but prices are tight and to be honest I lay down with the gear on the wall with my first flatten and it comes out just as good but wouldn't advise a plodder to try it haha
