Hi guys
First spray job of the year and need some help and direction please from you fellow experienced machine guys.At first I thought I was spraying hp12 but it turns out that its hpx instead for the base followed by the E grade.
can any of you give me any tips or suggestions on water settings please I'm guessing speed at about 5-6 but im abit stumped on the water settings as Iv only sprayed top coats and not any base coats yet.I have tried looking through the forum for about 3hrs reading and trying to find some info but all Iv found is i have a headache from doing this lol.Theres about 100sqm of hpx to spray so your input would be very helpful.
my machine is a ritmo m.
Thanks from the south west!!!!!:RpS_lol:

Wait around a bit mate ,someone will come along soon , i only spray mono with a G4 ,so no help to you :RpS_blushing:

Thanks keithuk im sure I can bug you for some advise on another thread another time :RpS_thumbsup:

Hi mate, I spray hpx with my ritmo. I can't remember the water setting of hand. But I sprayed it at speed 9 and also with the air pipe on the gun further back than you would eg mono. This will give you a wider spray and if you move the gun a bit quicker. You Will put it on thinner. Depending on if there straight runs or going round **** you could always slow the motor down. I would start it @ 300 water and come down till your happy with the gear. I hope this helps.

thanks steveo i will give this a try.Do you stop every couple of hours and clean the machine out when using the hpx as some threads iv read are saying that it turns very quick,or does that really not effect it when being sprayed on?.They are good runs 30 sqm panels with a couple of windows in.
how much should i be expecting to spray in a day would you think bearing in mind we will be meshing as well.

Morning cjs, as long as you don't leave the gear in the pipe tolong,I would say you will be fine. Just spray a bit threw every 10 - 15 mins. One of us sprays, the other spats and puts the mesh in. Another quick pass with the gear then, spat and scratch. This is with big runs and all beaded and masked up before. If small areas I will adjust water and speed to suit. I find a lot of time the water can change slightly due to moisture in the bags. Good luck mate.

Hi cjs, thats good. As with all equipment, its good to ask about and get other opinions. There are a lot of highly skilled machine applicators on here and are always helping, which is why the forum is so good !
