has any body made up their own self leveller i have a floor running from nothing to 40 mm i know i can buy it but just wondering if i mix a 2 sand/1 cement with unibond/water or sbr would it work,

40mm is a lot to make up in sub floor compound. if you can not cut the screed up . i would dub the thick area out. coating the area with sbr, and adding sbr to the screed mix. then cover the whole floor with a sub floor compound if required. what finish is the screed to receive?

You could bulk out the leveller with 3mm chippings, mixed with the leveller.. ( on the 40mm part, ) then when dry seal and pour the leveller down..

Sure i have seen advertised a leveler that runs 50mm to nothing.
