Off them six days now and determined to stay off them.

It's a tough old gig mate but doable. I'd only smoked for about 11 years but had been on 30 a day for a couple of years....office job so used to pop out ever half hour or so. Does get easier, I say I miss it but only in passing and usually when I been drinking. My uncle had a stroke at 52 and they told him his carrotic artery was blocked and they wouldn't operate until he'd been quit the beer and fags for 3 months. He didn't quit either and died of a heart attack 6 months later. I quit after that.....never quit the booze though:fuckyou:

If you struggle go to the doctors and get a drug called champix, its what I used, makes your brain a bit funny but work. Blocks your dopamine signals from the nicotine or some such jiggery pokery.

How long did you take those for Lodan??

Back on topic, I used to use a plank on the stairs, stood up against bulk head with a 3x2 nailed at whatever height was suitable and another plank resting on that. [emoji106]

It was 6 years ago so memory a bit hazy....i had to take them for two weeks before I quit...it works by binding the nicotine from those two weeks to the receptors and then I think it was a course of another 10 weeks....i did about 6 of the 10 and then stopped taking them.....in all honesty the cravings were really mild compared to when id tried patches about 6 months before....its free and 1 conversation with the doc if its something youre interested in. Think you can even do it through the pharmacies (new leaf?) in England, not sure about the rest of the uk.

Anyway if the fags don't get you the dust will:frenetico:

Great pics got one big stairwell wall to do in a Victorian terrace I rent out.. I take it its a two man job one feeding the bloke on the ladder ? Seem hard jumping up and down them

Also how do u ensure the ladders don't slip sideways.. Don't fancy breaking my neck for a wall

Thanks for the advice, think my brain has enough funniness in it.

Thats some crazy s**t mate. I wouldnt fancy that + iv done some stupid stuff in my time. Fair play for getting up there though. [emoji106]

Haha I couldnt think of any other way to scaffold it out, never really had any choice but to go up. Wasn't too bad once it was coated, had a spare hand to try grab the chandelier if i fell
