f**k ya then bruce, ill not help next time, go and spend £400 on some stilts that are exactly the same but with a dura stilt sticker on. ill not come and see you when your in the pick up!
 
I was only kiddin lover , I am made up with my stilts and I wouldnt have em if it wernt for your invaluable advice. Blo*job? :-* :-* :-*
 
Just found these. So they've taken a pair of cheap chinese stilts, and redesigned the feet. £500.....I don't think so.

When I walk in mine I tend the bottom of the left foot seems to walk just on the outside ,side .Hope that made sense, as if Im flat footed but Im not. Is there a way to adjust them to rectify this?

there is mate, i cant actually remember how though haha. i vaugely remember someone putting a link on here on how to make slight adjustments. try the carobyn website.
 
Worked on them years ago lads, they will break you up eventually.There ok for an odd ceiling ,but to be on them all day every day is torture.
 
No i didnt forget lads,if you wanna use stilts thats your own brown biscuits,but they will cripple you over time, just my opion .The only one who gains is the builder on the job because he doesnt have to hire scaffold,and when you show up without them on the next job it will be your problem not his ,and youll have to explain why you dont have them :'(.

Ive used mine for years and to be honest ive had more accidents getting down off hop ups and standing on something and twisting my ankle than i have on my stilts, how can they break you up? you must of had them set up wrong.
 
Flynnyman its just my opion, i know lots of guys with back and hip trouble from them,and to be honest I didnt feel great when I was using them, the settings were fine.Its just seems to me that the job of plastering is a tough enough gig without dragging extra weight around on your legs.Id rather carry a few planks in the van .
