Stippled Ceiling

Hi all.
I am a newby and wanting to know what type of gypsum I should use for the 1st coat when I plaster over my stiplled ceiling. It is painted in white matt.
I am thinking of skimming the walls in the room to go over old plaster. I know I need PVA but what is a good one to buy? Also doI need to buy thistle multi finish and do 2 coats? Or doI need to buy a different type of plaster.

Try putting this in the plastering section.

You need to buy Durafinish, it sticks with no need for pva.

B and q's pva is decent. Just plaster ceiling as you would walls, nothing different.
