Been in the West Indies for a couple of weeks now and thought I was getting acclimatised. Builder sent out the multi from London in December (winter mix stuff I'm thinking).
Anyhoo, had a 50m2 ceiling to do on my own today off 2 beer crates and a plank, no labourer. Oh my feckin God, 36* C with a hot breeze blowing in, I nearly feckin passed out.
Easifill in the morning methinks .

I actually miss a bit of frost in the mornings :buitre:

Did a 35-40m2 skeiling on my own here last August was 43c that day from memory hottest day that week I felt my heart was gonna burst, saturated in sweat like I'd walked out the sea.
It's not funny ,clever or big , agreed.

sod that its 30 here and thats the last thing i would want to do is to pick up a trowel

It was 8 degrees here on Tuesday and @Nisus had his sun hat and shades on, and was complaining about a duck butter outbreak. Then it was about 4 degrees yesterday and he had three coats on. You're not missing anything here. :hola:

Can't quite get it right at the min, when I'm trowelling I'm in a t shirt when I stop the jumper goes back on. Think I've spent half the day cocking about with the jumper.
Fair play eddy to skimming in that heat that's not for me.

The humidity is the killer. 1st day I got here a HUGE delivery arrived at 8 pm. 200 boards, kitchens, washing machines, you name it. All had to be carried up a massive hill by hand. They were all laughing at the fat pink European behind my back but I bust a gut to out work/carry them. When they were shattered they stopped but I kept going. I have to admit my lungs were screaming for air, my knees were like jelly but I couldn't be seen to be the weak link . Got great respect from them after that, They couldn't believe I could knock back cans of lager and work.

Next day the boss brought me in 4 crates of Carib to say thanks and he has no problem with me drinking all day at work .
Great bunch of lads too btw

ah the duck butter time of year again... dont google it if you dont know what it is.....

I'm not sure it's sweat related with @Nisus I think it's more a case of seepage as his one way valve has seen a bit too much action.
