for the information of those who posted highly unhelpful comments on my first post here regarding my living room ceiling isssues -
The ceiling has now been partially ripped down, and surprise surprise.... where the main cracks are the boards either overshoot the joist they are meant to be fixed to and are hanging in mid air or are on the very edge.....

Thanks to all those who made constructive comments including Danny via pm.....

How ******* dare some people? Just had a look and that was picked up by the 12th post had been made, if you weren't so lazy and bothered to check for any movement a lot of the lads on here wouldn't have come to the assumption the plasterer had done nothing wrong, ungrateful tosser

hmmm, funny how the title made a couple of the people who made unhelpful comments on the original thread reply...comments from 1 person who accused me of insurance fraud without any basis and another who said there was nothing wrong with the way the ceiling had been done.... yeah very helpful comments they were from the usual keyboard warriors.
And yes I did get another plasterer in.

your a knobhead

so everyone is 2 blame bar you ?? im thinking is it any wonder the last guy ****** up working for a sad **** like you well done 2 him for F*****g you over

they have a point you are a penis, you weren't interested in anything anyone had to say and i agree with whoever said it seemed like you was trying to build a case against the guy by asking us to discredit him, ok he boarded it wrong but someone said check for movement which you didn't want to know about you just seemed intent it was " skrim applied wrong" being self adhesive, unless you miss the joint altogether with the tape its pretty impossible to apply skrim wrong.
also and dnt quote me on this but didn't you say you did the coving to help speed the job up then later slated the guy cos the coving fell down??
it was hard for anyone to advise you accordingly as no one had seen the job so we gave you ideas of what it could be, all of which you just turned your nose up at straight away, AND somewhere near the beginning of the thread you said something along the lines of none of us could help you and we didn't know what we was talking about (again not and accurate quote just a recollection of a thought i had when i read said post)

also you said in this post that your plasterer (the one that messed up i think) took down the ceiling so he didn't have to take the coving down and re decorate the whole room, from my personal experience its bloody hard to take down a ceiling and not pull the coving down, only had to do it a few times and wouldn't choose to do it.
how was this done and how does the whole room not need redecorating once a ceiling has been torn down replaced and re plastered.
your posts are contradicting each other, you got a new plasterer re do the works but you let the old plasterer in to take down his work???? this must have happened other wise.

dont remember mentioning that I did anything, the original plasterer did it to save himself from having to replace the coving and pay to have the entire room redecorated....

many thanks..:RpS_wink: (your earlier post)
would not make any sense again, if you was left in such a bad state by said original plasterer after many return visits why even entertain the idea of letting him back in your house unless he came bearing the gift of a cheque that you gave to him for works undertaken.

On a different note, I'd like to say to the fella who's cieling was a disaster. I think you've some front after slagging the guys on here to come back and try again. Especially after they tried to help you.
