We hear alot about spreads ripping people off and ******* jobs up but dont so much hear spreads doing well.

Would like to thank @Finn for starting a crappy job for me. Got to be the worst job ive seen for a while. But he stuck it out for two weeks.

Would recommend finn to others on here.

Nice lad, young and keen, he will appreciate the thanks,not a lot of either about these days.
 
The work wasnt too bad the rates on the m2 were tight to make money on, so you had to have a lot ready ahead of you to smash out to make money. just wasnt enough ready to go at. just plodded along every'n day just so that they could get it ready in front of us. the other trades were waiting like 2 days for metal stud to arrive, then 3days waiting on board which when arrived was the wrong kind so had to wait another 2 days. but hey ho **** happens, we've all been there. Should of jacked 1st day as i kinda had an inkling that this was gonna b the case but i knew dan was off on holiday, so didnt want him getting calls from the site asking whats he gonna do about it and disrupting his holiday. funny thing is the ya man has almost begged me to come back as his other plasterers are premaddonas and taking to long to get nyfing done, they're on day rate so i guess they're just stringing it out, plus i`m twice as fast and wanted to go twice as fast again given the work was ready in front of me. Wouldnt mind goin back as i agreed i could in about two weeks time as i`m busy with my own stuff and that rates were going to up, and given enough work was ready to go at.

oh yeah the other shitey bit is that you cant put in an invoice until 2 weeks, and then payment is 30 days from then?
 
dont think we were the only ones that wasn't told that. if your quite and looking for work you should probly go back to that job and finish off but only on day rate or no deal
 
lol just rembered, the other spreads put a set on that lasted from 8 till about 4.30ish? 6 coats of finish!!! :RpS_confused:

Thanks @Olican I'm sure this forum will improve now that ive landed and we can stop giving away Tips & Advice to chancers and the likes and change this to a place for the elite. its what i like to call "The Wand Circle Of Trust"
