isn't tar tar the same or trisodium citrate ? - never had much call for adding more time to a gauge -Recently I was sent a few samples of ExtraTime plaster retarder sachets. I had a good think about how to test this new product; I thought that I could spin up two batches of plaster, one with ExtraTime in, and put on some walls.

I have seen a retarder by @BritishGypsum they do alter the setting time & add more & less retardant depending on seasons -No... but they don't pva either....

I suppose what I'm saying is "it's no a new thing " most spreads know how to speed up or slow down a mix - with things bought easily & cheaply from a super market - but rarely doIt's there if you need it...

It's accepting part of the blame if it goes pear shaped that's the problem. If @BritishGypsum dont endorse PVA what did they recommend on reskims before pregrit was available?They don't have to endorse it though flynny, they just have to admit that it will work!!
