Hi to all on here, some of the banter has had me in stitches, and more importantly the theory and advice has been most helpful, so after months after joining it's time to be honarable and say hi to all the forumanators and mods that make this a key informative and funny alliance...

G'day all! I have enjoyed reading the comments on here over the months, and picked up a few good tips. I am from Oxford and came into plastering from being a brickie and then to general building with my step dad (a plasterer).
I guess like some of you i graduated from the airing cupboard and skirting board level to the walls and ceilings, and was eventually was let loose on my own! I run my own company now but still get a kick out of plastering when the job calls for it. A good finish will make a job or ruin it. One of my customers commented that plastering is not a skill, it is an art. so i would like to say hello to all the "Artist's" out there!
