Ben lomond ,lovely, never managed to walk it tho, usually ended up in the. rowardenen hotel next to the log fire with a beer and some haggis in a basket........mmmm :RpS_thumbup:.how's the new telly by the way?

Yes & that is how you catch them, chase them the opposite way round the mountain then they get caught off balance due to offset leg sizes & roll down the hill into a waiting net :RpS_thumbup:
 
Aye the ben is awesome. Everybody should walk it once in their life. Aye the telly is good, really good, sounds even better with the bose. :RpS_thumbsup:
 
Thats in the Loch Lomond National park is'nt it. I keep saying we must take a week out to travel the great Scotland. And also visit Inverness where my Grandad grew up.
 
Loch lomonds stunning Mark, serene and peacefull,get yer hiking boots on and enjoy. You may even bag yourself a haggis:RpS_thumbup:
 
Yep. Loch lomond, the national park, ben lomond....all stunning!!!! I was there today, just for a drive in the autumnal sushine. Quiet roads and breathtaking views. The lakes are nice but nothing beats Scotland :RpS_cool:

the luss. tarbet rd, A82 think it is by arrocher to the rest and be thankful s a great drive,loch goil,? Other side of the loch,balmaha to rowerdenan!!!potholed singletrack road but at the end of the road you cant go any. further just the loch, and the bottom of the ben, oh and the rowerdenan hotel,,beer food, laffs ,scenery? Well worth it,gods country.:RpS_wub:

Oh Aye there's plenty of scum alright. Every big town or city in the UK has scum. However, travel 20 miles north of Glasgow and there's nothing but hills, lochs, rivers and open road all the way to the north coast, with only the odd small town or village. Especially on the west coast. I like to call it Arsehole free.

when i went to loch lomond i couldnt see any F*****g haggis. or at loch katrine. i tried going out day and night as i wasnt sure if theyre nocturnal but i could only find dead ones in the butchers in callander

i was up at kishorn last year....drove up the applecross,highest pass in uk apparantly....went over to sky too...the driving is superb.

That's a stunning part of the world. Ive cycled that road a few times ..Bealach na ba (the pass of the cattle) That's where Monty Halls had his go at crofting

there's a new programe on Dave called Donald Mactavish...haggis whisperer...aparantly he tracks them,catches em then tames em by blowing sweet nothings up their caregooons....the second series is gong to air on the food channel:RpS_thumbup:
 
Love the west coast of Scotland, Mull, Skye, etc. can't fault it. Orkney is a fantastic place as well - though can get a bit windy I'm told lol.

Er, excuse me Mr Specialist, but this afternoon I was patching in a broken leather ceiling :RpS_thumbup:
Comb is the easiest to patch in as you've got edges to work from once scraped back an prepped up ready for combing :flapper:
Any other pattern it's all about hiding the overlap so no edge or join can be seen :RpS_wink:
Goldcomb is back in business down here mate 2nd artex job this year :RpS_laugh:

Ps. Not done any paper stripping for 12 days now, but got a bit to do Monday lol :RpS_biggrin:
 
Don't forget Orkney single malt whiskey.
Prefer Irish whiskey meself though to scotch. :RpS_thumbup:

Highland Park - been there, nice place though there is also Scapa distillery (no tours and a lot more expensive) though Scapa bay has a lovely beech and you can smell the distillery :RpS_thumbup:
