Another benefit i was thinking of would be if they did the spec you would have more of a back up if it went tits up .............:RpS_unsure:

I don't know parex and they don't know me so I can't see how they would back you up.
If you are approved and they know about you it's probably a different story.

You need to be approved to use Parex , that's a given and to be fair that's why they issue warranties there effectively puting there name aswell to your work manship, I only use a handful of systems because you need to work hand in hand with suppliers. If I ever had a problem on site I get straight through to there technical team, and speak to fellas that have used the system or if you want more advice they pass you to another approved renderer for reassurance, I know it happens because I was one of those fellas for Parex that other renders use to phone up. I was one of the first outfits that used parinter when it came over a few years ago. I Also trained a few lads up using the systems when I was involved with the Parex traing centre, the problem with Parex is there a victim of there own success now with them being expensive compared to other systems.

I enquired about that and was told they would not spec it. Seems like its at the local reps discretion which is stupid

its bollix

you could leave it finished at the mono gf stage but they have you putting dpr over that ?

I have had several specs from Nick and warranted them.

the parinter is used as a thin coat not put on and scratched with a comb to receive the next coat.

anyway I hear you been using airless ? where the pics ?

To be honest I know that Parinter to 5mm with mesh then DPR would work fine. It would be a superb system but I cant get them to warrant it. Having to add a topcoat of monorex makes it to costly :RpS_mad:

Airless is awesome. Vids on youtube currierplastering

I spoke to a guy called steve @ parex who seems like a good guy.he has left a message for peter Baxter to phone me but have heard nothing as yet!!!
I am going to lay a test panel on with mesh on the weekend and go from there with it.if it works I will crack on with it.

Seems like they need a spec that is universal. Parinter + dpr would be great if they warranted it to us. I've had loads of enquiries but as soon as I add gf on top it makes it to costly

Becareful that the paint isn't oil based. Parinter will only go over water based paints. Put a small blow torch on the paint if it bubbles it's generally oil based and can't be covered. If not it's good to go.

The paint is a resin based paint(pliolite I believe)
I will look into it.cheers scogs

So today I finished the first stage of this job,120m2.
Followed the spec parex told me too and it went very well.i left the parinter around 12 days before finishing with dpr sand (white).the parinter was solid and not going anywhere!!!3 of us topped it in a day.customer very happy.
