Thistle bond over lime?

Went to start a job today, when prepping the walls the artex Started to come Off to reveal lime plaster walls. I told the customer to get a lime specialist in. But they are not keen to pay the price for this. So I know this is not the correct Way but could I apply thistle bond over the walls and skim with multi finish to keep the cost down for them. Any advice would on this would be good. Thanks

I would gyprime and then bond-it worked a treat for us!

Use a stabilizer first like Artex Stabilex - Decorative Products and Finishes - Dry Lining & Partitioning - SIG Insulation then use a decent bonding agent like betokontakt
