The bead on the right hand side is the carpenters problem tbh. U can't pull a skim bead out that far.

Yes you are right... but the joiner wouldn't be called back to straighten that up it would be the plasterer.

I think its a raked ceiling like the one on the left. The angle makes it look on the piss

If I got called back to straighten something out to that extent when I'm only there skimming Id tell them to go f**k themselves and read my estimate properly, skimming us skimming, end of.

Anyway, as Beddy says, its the angle of ceiling making it look out.
