Tools being good then not

You'd be fit in there lying in front of them with a trowel in your hand

Metabo is great, not a lot of people know about them, so less likely your batteries get swapped about, good warranty on them, and batteries last much better than mainstream brands

Quite possibly.... but the quality is not as good as before... same with domestic appliances... washing machines lasting years.. now your lucky if you get 5 years...

Throw away society.. having a bit of a grumble... sorry chaps :-)

I agree like new tv are so cheap and you only get a year guarantee is because they only build them to last a year plus by then a better model is out

Ive been looking at the dewalt 305mm chopsaw. Lovely bit if kit but about £700

Last makita thing I bought was a hammer/chisel gun, best one I've had really light but used it to do loads of hack offs and its been brilliant

I have a 1m stabilla that i bought at a jumble sale for 30 bob about 16yrs ago and it is still spot on
Mine is 15 years has whacked all my boards on in that time , my joiner mate was shouting how out of straight it was when he put it against his fat max 6ft thing so I said let me try the fat max to tap my next wall on when I finished whacking them on he started crying that I had ruined the fat max and wanted me to buy him a new one ,:wtf:
Stabila all the way for me bro :musculoso:

Joiner punk with fat max crap :risas2:
Keep your fat max for your kitchen fitting crap...2 mm out :risas: Of straight he said :maraca:

Great saw but heavy and a hard work getting in/out of van or property.
I've been using a Festool kapex lately and for the extra ton it's a different grade

Ive got a full set of fatmax extreme and cannot break them for the life of me. The 6fts taken a battering for at least 4-5 years and its still perfect

Tbh it's probably too big for me. Might look at the 250mm.

My first ever mt was great but as I said in a different post I'm unsure the quality is what it used to be, all my makita kit has been great value for money except for the collated gun. I think some guys buy makita tools purely because the radios are so good.

That be better if it had a scorer blade then again depends what yer cutting up u could nearly get a second hand wadkin saw for that price but you wouldn't get in yer van

If i was making cabinets/furniture or shop fitting i would totally agree with you but for most renovation/building jobs it's good enough for what i will need it for.

I just looked at new ones and was thinking you might be right.. First I thought you was mad the washing machine had blown up but see what you saying now..
:aburrido:

I did hand washing when mine blew up to save buying a new one , in the end I brought a new one lasted 4 years :endesacuerdo:

My makita radio didnt last long wouldnt take a battery so i kept going through ac power leads the back fell off and its got no handle, thats why @Danny sent me a shiny new dewalt radio

I remember seeing washing machines being passed down....

We had one that was janes nans and we had it 5 years and her nan had it for at least 5 as well...

It's all relative Dan. If for arguments sake i bought a 600 mm £30 stabila level and then complained because it did not stay calibrated for as long as a 600 mm stabila level that cost £100 i would be naive at best.
Same for washing machines if you want one to last more than 5 yr do not buy one for £200 buy one for £600.
Everything is made to a cost everything! there are exceptions where peoples snobbery take over and they will pay big premiums for a NAME, clothing is an area where this prevails.
Every one has to protect their profit margins somehow and generally they are protected by either cheaper materials or cheaper labour.

Try buying a freaking mattress, it's a minefield, you can get one for 300 or 13k mad.

Not all the makita batteries are compatible in the radios, I had a cheap cordless from b and q and the batteries wouldn't fit to my disappointment.

Just bought a new kingsize hynos mattress. Was about £800 but f**k me it's worth it. like sleeping on a cloud

I was bedazzled in John Lewis that you can get a mattress for 13grand, mad. It's definitely worth it having a decent one

You see you would think that is the case... but the 600 machine probably won't last as long as it should....
