Travis Perkins.

Working in wells village in somerset today and I popped into a branch of the normal merchants I use.. (Who I know stock blue-grit) but they were out of stock.

So I went down the road to the Travis.. Fairly big yard.. Yet no one in their have ever heard of such product not even cementone's plasteres stabilising primer.

All I could think is how ridiculous.. A huge company like in the building trade and they've never heard of the product. One which is quite often convered in professional builder which Travis have their own front covers!!

My rant of the day done!

Yeah used pva.. But not the point I was making, more the fact that no one in Travis had heard of any of the bond it products out there.

A big branch should sell these products.. They shouldn't put their name on professional builder if you can't get the products in that magazine in there stores..

I can see me switching the television on tomorrow, and sky news and kate adie will be outside a travis perkins branch in wells, amid reports of a unhappy plasterer holding staff as hostages,helicopter hovering in the air ,swat team outside,ridler shouting out that tear gas wont hurt my eyes you bunch of fairies, try an eyeful of skimming, tear gas is nothing compared to that,as time goes by police send in a bait box with some bait in,ridler releases a hostage, new demands are made where is the blue grit get some now, and why are all the handboards called hawks , everybody knows its called a handboard, change all these labels now to handboard, reporters are all dressed for the worst outside in white overalls, its going to be a dust bath somebody shouts, as ridler heads for the plaster shed in his van, where he attacks the bags of multi and bursts them open, finally he finds some blue grit,the situation eases, staff are released after assurances that in future all staff will know what it is, plasterer calms down now puts radio 4 on smiles at sky news and drives off , nobody dare say he has got the wrong angle beads on his van, but he knows hosta la vista baby ,ill be back

I think travis are aimed at general building. They only stock basic plastering gear. Dont even have plastic beads near me
