Don't you understand that the 'it'll have to do' attitude is what's keeping these prices going? I'd rather sit in house but the cnts know if they keep trying they will find someone willing.
 
Have you read the full thread? I turned it down if the guy wants to do it where's the harm,him and his mate will easy do £300 a day mayb more..if you can't make it pay on £6m2 that's your problem not the guy who's doing it..like I said I've turned it down so I'll have to do attitude' shudnt be aimed at me..people are going on asif the fellas getting £4-5m2 I hate spreads who work for ridiculously s**t £m2 prices but £6m2 is not ridiculously s**t no matter wat u say..its s**t but not stupid I know lads who work for £1.80m2 skimming I wudnt but that's me there will always be sum nugget who will work for now and there's not you or I can do about it,it will be the same in a 100 years from now
 
Don't usually work on s**t prices but I don't judge what a s**t price is until I've seen the job £6 on one job maybe s**t £6 on another job could be brilliant depends on the job

Ye could be big nice long walls cud be s**t,I c**t give a toss either way to be honest just thought it wud be better getting a guy to do it from here than the company getting sum1else

I've read the full thread and you said if you wasn't doing anything it's not to be sniffed at, that's what I picked up on. I couldn't make it pay I'll admit that. I wouldn't knock my cnt in so someone else can make more money off the job. Just my opinion mate, I don't see anything changing until folk tell them to stick there prices.
 
Ye but if I or he could make over £300 a day easy day where's the problem? 2 floaters can get 20 bags on by 11 no probs..different strokes for different folks pal £6m2 is not not great but it ain't dreadful..my opinion

I struggle to make £8.70 m2 pay for skim lol. That's no a site though, that's a few builders who do large jobs. I'm just a lazy bastrad
 
To be honest @dsdave will average £300 plus a day easy on £6 a metre he's a grafter if its there,plus its work , we cant all sit at home and wait for superstar rates to come in , there is a area disposition on prices and then domestics and commercial site and sub contract and then theres courses just to add to the mix, we will never stop arguing over so called good and bad rates its inevitable and it'll never be all the same wherever you may live
 
Cheers Neil ( casplas) as you said £300.00 is easy money @£ 6.00m2,remember when we were doing 20 odd bags a day them skimming it in two gauges going home by 2pm. Don't think most of these chancers do 20 bags a week .have a good Xmas mate

Yes your right it's each to there own and I think the rate is s**t and dreadful!!!

I'm not a chancer because I have an opinion
 
We did a job a few years back in Milton Keynes they was a fire stooping company who started doing metal framing and plastering they was giving us £3m2 for skimming and there was a sports hall that needed floating and they offered £6m2 we said your taking the piss your giving us £3m2 for skimming they then said no the skimming rates got to go on top of that lol never had it since then it even before they was chancers and burned badly

Haha I just don't have the notion to throw twenty bags a day on to make my money, I'm breaking out in a cold sweat just now thinking about it. Twenty years down the line when your near crippled that couple of hundred a day won't feel like much. Each to there own though and I wish folk didn't have to do it just to make a wage.

I think I'd rather pass a decent job around on here than some f**k**g agency getting involved and ripping some poor sod off
 
Sorry Dave. I was just a msg to say that they looking for lads to come on the job I'm on. I'm not on it full time coz I've other work on there about 800 m left I got told other day.
