hi got some tyro patches to which have blown off due to a ivy tree close up against it the render is fine just the tyro blown off i was just wondering will it need priming with neat sbr before redoing thanks

if there is no vegetation on the damaged areas i would just spray on the tyrolean, as you do not want to loose the suction.
if there is vegetation , i would clean down, then sbr or external pva the areas. then spray very lightly in several coats, as there will be no suction.
if you are trying to match the colour i would paint the first coat on.

sand is ok, just make sure the mix is wet like set. the moment you start to spray you will see if it is to thick
