Hello everyone, just few question on tyrolean.
- is it best to leave waterproofer out of top coat
- how long between tyrolean after top coat was thinking 6-1
- and customer wants to match extisting which is really heavy and wants to paint it so would it be best to use sand and cement

appreciate any help thanks

6-1-1. You need lime in ya top coat so you've got suction for the tyrolean. i would give it 5-7 days to cure before tyroleaning...(If thats how you spell It)

i would have no waterproofer in the mix. extra lime, spray with sand , cement and lime the same day that you render, and i would earn top money!

is it ok like that malc might give that a whirl one day

yes render in the morning spray in the afternoon, just a light spray as the colour of the tyrolean and render is the same, no filling in. it dries very quickly so no slump.

Also what mix is the spray and I'm matching up with the existing which is really heavy so what consistent Shall i have the gear thanks

You will need to build the texture up in coats to match in with the heavy stuff. dont try firing it all on in one go...It should be done in three passes. 1 at 90 degrees to the wall and a pass from the left and right at 45 degrees

yea was going to do that anyway. what gauge to use is all i need to know now really thanks

the mix will be hit and miss. all you can do is mix some up about the same thickness as set ,spray on the wall and see if it needs to be thicker or thiner. try and get the thick coat on first then make it thiner to fill in.

Have a little play about spraying on to a spot-board first, adjusting the tension on the bar until you get it something like. Too soft and it won't sit up, too stiff and it'll come out in clumps. Lovely finish when you get it right though :RpS_thumbup:
