Unhappy with recent coving job, what can I do?

Hi,

I've recently had my living room Skimmed and new coving put up, it would appear that my plasterer allowed his labourer to put my coving up when he disappeared towards the end of the job. There are rough edges, lots of filler applied very poorly and godawful joins.

I have him coming back to look and discuss with me on the agreement that the other guy stays away from my house.

Does this look salvageable? I'm pretty angry and disappointed that this has been allowed to happen.

Quite frankly that is disgusting!!! I would be inclined to say that personally I would rip it down and get someone who can do it properly
Thank you, I knew I wasn't going off my head. Got him visiting on Tuesday to discuss but I'm inclined to demand a refund.

What a Terrible job!! That is really rough! It all needs to be took down and new put up. There should be no joins on any lengths less than 3 metres and definitely never no straight joins either! What a amateurish crappy job.

The sad thing is, the plasterer has a very good reputation locally but I think he's took on too much work and trusted a crap labourer to finish the job.

How much did he charge for coving. Take that off his price plus £100 for hacking it off a decorater.could make it look nice. Save all the agro of doing it again.
