The question is.....why did you pay the man? I mean, I can understand that the customer doesn't know what a bare wall is supposed to look like and gets a shock when they paint, but THAT.....Did you not look up when you went in the room?

He has obviously allowed for contraction. As the freshly plastered walls dry they will shrink back and mitre will be spot on.

My fault in that respect, didn't fully check as I trusted him being known to me quite well. Learned a valuable lesson believe me....

If the bottom is level then you can cut pieces in to fit and make good but from what I've seen in picture for a newly fitted cove job it needs to come down.. The lot.. Then new fitted...

I've recently had my living room Skimmed and new coving put up, it would appear that my plasterer allowed his labourer to put my coving up when he disappeared towards the end of the job. There are rough edges, lots of filler applied very poorly and godawful joins.

I have him coming back to look and discuss with me on the agreement that the other guy stays away from my house.

Does this look salvageable? I'm pretty angry and disappointed that this has been allowed to happen. You want a refund for the whole job because that coving won’t come down without making a right mess.

No way that can be repaired. Try to rip that down and you’ll end up having to skim room again. Whereabouts outside of Glasgow mate?

@Casper told me when he leaves his jobs like this, if the customer complains he says oh it's not finished yet and goes back with a bag of easifill and roll of sandpaper. He is based in Glasgow got his number if you need it

@martin1t get a refund for the lot coving and labour and also tell the guy you want money back for having to take it down.
If its stuck properly it will be a b*****d.

If it's off I'll come and do it properly for you as I'm only based in donny
