Tbf around here anyway I don’t know any plasterers charging any less than £254 a day on Dom’s ,I know most of them and we discuss prices all the time , there is one dweeb who goes in cheap but all the others laugh about him tbh

You did a breakdown noting ago which was good..tbf I dont think that deep in trying to work it out but il always put a good day rate in,then add about 50% at least profit on materials then profit for the buisness which is separate to the day rate
 
I do a lot of subby work for a roofing company redoing chimney stacks patching in ect I charge them very well matey shows me some of the prices he puts in for repairs ect!and his firm are super busy!We really are at the bottom of the ladder price wise in the building trade. Too many thick people in plastering working for peanuts

Defo!! Like u say,theres too many peasants in plastering trade,its because some people used to class it as a skilled labourers trade..never heard of so .uch shite,when u look at pics on here of bad plastering work etc..makes me laugh sometimes when joe public comes on here putting pics up of bad work asking 4 advice,that's why I rarely comment on them threads as know matter what shite there say 9/10 there the clients I avoid who ring around 4 300 quotes..I can tell within 2 minutes on phone if there one of them

Has a few horrible f**k**s this year on domestics. One there is over 115k coming into the house and they had the f**k**g cheek to say at the end we think we've paid you enough when I gave them the cost of the extras haha. Right cheeky f**k**s!

Another owns a f**k**g quarry, didn't even want to do the work but when it came to getting paid, a horrible f**k**g experience. Extras not paid for, saying taking to long even thou all the prep work was f**k*d. His father in law did all the prepping, said all ok. Was it f**k! f**k**g mess of a job.

Varies between £200-£300 a day..this is starting at 8 finishing at 2-30-3 ish..1st day will be a 3 ish finish,2nd day would be maybe 1pm finish sometimes depending on plot..sometimes say we get a plot and theres 3 x2men days in it,2 of us will be there 4 2 days whilst 1 man stays 3rd day finishes plot and 1 of us will do a private job..all money spit 50/50..and it's not slogging my arse off,it is if ur not used to it but it's all we've ever known so it's easy as..board all dry work 1st day,2nd day all dotting.cudnt earn the money fulltime domestic on what we earn as we have 6 figure turnover a year labour only

Them with money dont like paying [thats why they have got it] and in my experiance they give you the run around when its time to pay up.

i got some s**t for this one as people was asking what you earn a day. This was in brum. Flat full of artex lids. One very long day was about £1200 or something.




I’ve worked all over really, brum, Leicester, stoke on trent, burton etc etc all around these areas and I’ll never work for pennies.

You wouldn't believe the shite Ive to deal with in the west of Ireland! Farmers with trowels who couldn't build a nice stone wall to save there life are getting away with charging just over half at what I need to charge to run a successful business. Eastern Europeans charging the same and people on the Dole competing with them 2 leaves me when I go to charge looking like someone who should be wearing a mask when the reality of it, if they pay me my worth, I'd eat and shite there work all day long but the clients can't see that. Well a large % of them anyway. All they see is pound signs.

And that's on utter shite rates! Got a wrap around extension and full refurb starting 3 week of jan,our own job and its minimum £10m2 board and skim labour only and theres big areas..wen ur a site basher that's like literally printing money rates

Definitely, have noticed that myself over the years. Very difficult to get your money of them at times. I seen one when anything I needed materials they went out of their way to get them, sending there wife etc.. or taking time of work to go collect something that needed to be got. When it was time to sort me my money, no reply to msgs, took day to reply to missed calls and make all the f**k**g excuses about well give you it in a week or two Haha.

Even had one dickhead that all week we agreed he'd have all my money on the Fri at 1.30 so I could go into town to grab birthday presents/xmass presents for my kids. I worked late most of the week for the c**t to get it finished for him so the plumber could get in and out etc.. Friday came and the c**t tried to Pam me off with less than half my money. I blow a gasket and I'm called all the mad mans of the day saying he's never seen anything like me for being a madman. f**k**g joke of a man. He was very lucky he got my money that wknd or I'd have went back and wrecked everything on him just before xmass and he'd be truly f**k*d for his deadline. After it, I was 150 down of the final bill plus had to take Monday off because he f**k*d up that Friday not paying me.

That's the shite weve had to deal with this year. Last few years I was doing great with everyone paid up on time, happy with the work but late 2019 I had a few c**ts that had me questioning WTF am I Even doing in this game because if it keeps up getting people like these, I could see myself ending up in the clink because of my temperament!

1 area does matter no matter how pretty you look in your shiny van . If i priced a 3 bedder in harrogate say 3 grand . ( yeah 3 grand it not taj Mahal its a three bedder ) i know for a fact i would have to be near half that in other area.s.
2 speed . @lurpak did them ceilings for 1200 in a day . Another kid who could get same quality ( wont take much) bit might take him 3 days. He not gonna get job for 3600

you’re confusing price with rates jonny.

i did it in a day as was flat out and didn’t wanna drive to brum twice.
