I usually stack it in bags behind my garage until I've got a skip. Usually have a skip on the go half a dozen times a year somewhere or other. If you've got a estate car just take it to the local tip. Or you can tell your local tip your doing home improvements and it's domestic waste and get a permit for the van. Can here anyway. I blame the Tories.

You could always just get a flatbed like this bloke:

What happened to the thread about the Female Plasterer?

You're meant to have one even if you're just transporting waste. If I was taking a few bags of board offcuts or rubble back to my place in the van I could get fined. Madness. They sometimes do spot checks over in Birkenhead down by the docks. They'll have the dole, traffic police, environmental health, immigration etc all waiting for you. I've never been stopped by them. I play a double bluff, like when I'm going through customs at the airport. I'll slow down and point to the side of the road as though asking shall I pull over here, and they just wave you on, thinking I must have nothing to hide.

If they had a pay as you go scheme for waste I'd probably use that. Say twenty quid and you just drop it all off at the tip. Maybe they do. Fly tipping is everywhere, now, like those gypsies last week in this article in the scum:

If it's your own waste there is nothing they can do. So prove it I say. Prove it's not my waste.

I have a skip much easier

A skip it is then. Don't want to give the council anymore money that I'm paying already. I have seen a lot more fly tipping around my area lately, I now know why

just out of interest, how much does it costs to get the permit?
And how much does it costs after that to dump it everytime? or per tonn? or whatever way you are charged?

I have been stopped by them and they were looking for rubbish, I do take waste home like most but luckily not that day. Do often wonder how much a permit cost? And also what's the maximum fine? Anyone know?

In my county it's up to £900 a year. And now the extra £300 for a waste carrier licence

Yes mate, as you say, about 160 for 3 years

Just done mine for the sake of it. Bit annoying it's only because it's construction it costs, even though it's waste I produced. Tbh I thought it was alot more so haven't done it till now..... just another con really :)

It's just another tax, I did it 2 years ago when a decorator who was on the same job got pulled. Crazy really

I have one. As others have said, cost vs risk makes it worth doing. It's also another bit of paper to elevate you/the company above the chancers.
