I know spreads who've added pva and sometimes water to it to make it stretch a bit further and keep overheads down. I think it kinda defeats the purpose to be honest (especially adding water as wba is polymer based).
I only use it for jobs where a couple of coats of pva won't do the trick and I always include the additional cost in any quote where wba is required. It is £50 a cupful, right? Â
