Hi - looking for some trusted advice. I'm about to completely renovate a house finishing off with a coat of coloured render. The choices that seem to have come up so far are either Weber, K-Rend or Granicem. Can anyone offer any advice in terms of structural stability, ease of use, guarantees, mold resistance. From what I read this stuff goes on once and is not cheap therefore it has to be done right. Cracks can't easily be repaired so obviously I don't want to make the mistake of chosing the wrong product. Can anyone advise please?

Reading your post I assume that you are looking at a scratch finish render, if so they all come with problems cracking can be a issue sometimes caused by the substrate. Algae will grow on them all due to their high mineral content.
if you are considering a coloured render I would suggest you look at a system render Baumit do one that is anti crack and algae free with warranties you can purchase and get assistance from lime technology in Abingdon.

Yes as mentioned the products you are looking at are all monocouche scrape render products but as far as coloured render goes these are at the economical end of the scale. They are basically coloured mortar that will remain unpainted, for that reason a slightly higher spec may be wprth considering as they will be more resistant to mold algie etc and anti crack measures can be used more extensively within the system build up where as woth your monocouche you will get a mesh reinforcing layer within bit not much beyond that.
All that said if your thinking that the monocouche is expensive in ratio to your budget then you will be hard pushed to get an anti crack spec that is weather repellant as they will cost much more.
Bare in mind there are different levels of anti crack specs.
Use a reputable firm also that way you can call upon them for any after care. These products do not look good if they cock them up. Trust me we overcoat peoples work all the time

why would you use 20mm bellcasts?
you could in theory, but youd have to use a load more render to fill it out to you anglebeads that youd have to sit proud of the substrate.

I have used Weber and Granicem. Weber is a brittle high tension render and is well known for cracking. SPS Envirowall (Granicem) however is not only very nice stuff to use but also a lot lower tension than it's rivals so more resistant to cracking. If you use a SPS envirowall applicator the Company will give you a 12 year warranty. Another good Company to use is SAS Europe who are in Exeter. Their warranty is 10 years if you use an approved applicator. Their mono is also a slow setter and low tension but also is siliconised.
Weber and K rend will be the cheaper mono but I would go with Granicem, SAS or Parex.
The good thing about getting an approved applicator is that they have an equal responsibility with the warranty, so if they get it wrong they are fully responsible. SPS do random checks on their applicators.

Krend has the lowest coverage rate on the market at 0.8m a bag but costs the same as the others per bag where you usually get 1.2m per bag

monorex and granicem are in 30 kg bags
there is a 25kg bag they do that is possibly the granol I seen it there last time i was in but didnt pay too much attention due to being in a rush

Thanks for all the great advice on the renders it's much appreciated. The next question is who's out there in the North West (Cheshire) that can apply this stuff in the correct way and would you be willing to provide me with a quote? Building works start Monday so I think Rendering would be late Summer early Autumn. Seems that this stuff should be put on with a low pressure spray applicator rather than a float but I need to find some reputable guys willing to do the job. Over to you....

I would be recommending a base mesh render with a silicone/acrylic textured finish for this, not much more than mono yet more resistant to the elements or monocouche followed by a clear sealer.......
After reading al,l I must recommend K rend silicon ft it looks the best out if all the products on the market as long as its applied using the correct thickness with the base coat , depending on your back ground with the correct preparation there should not be problems with cracking when applied correctly .
K rend sparkles and shouts look at me where other renders grunt haha
Dont scrimp on materials sbr if needed base coat mesh ant top coat follow the guidelines. ....

Over 20m2 is usually applied by a rendering machine. Parex and Granicem are slow setters so it is either a long summers day or a spray pm, finish am job depending on air temperature. The slow setters are more reliable agianst cracking than the UK made fast setters like Weber and K-Rend.

a good product is Krend but....... not even close to being the best and at 0.8 M per bag ? terrible
