1st post for a while. Right guys I got asked to do a job where all the materials are there labour only. I was expecting it to be flexirend but turns out its an Wei system so weber LAC then Plast t Finnish. I've not done this system before . I've done a lot of research on it and am confident in applying but any tips from anyone would be welcomed !! Cheers

Weber pr310 is needed as far as I'm aware once the lac has completely gone off I need to cover the whole area with the pr310 then wait for it to go a bit sticky similar to using pva when skimming before applying the plast t. Apply with steel trowel then Finnish with a plastic trowel. The lac before hand needs a sponge Finnish so it's completely flat. Does it matter what sort of sponge float would be best to use ? And how long do you leave the plast t before finishing with the plastic trowel ? Cheers

With Pr primer IMO would you recommend that with the colour white ? And is that a weber product ? Cheers

You don't need to sponge LAC you can but its really easy to get a glass finish off the trowel. Sponging thin coat is for rough ar5e polish lads who were farmers before.

Primer ain't like PVA. Its just like thin paint. Put it on a day before you apply the plast and you can't go wrong it should be fully dry before you apply the plast, not nearly dry or tacy. Fully dry to the touch

I would seriously recommend you get someone who has experience with thin coat render cos its sounds like the tell tale scenario that something is going to go wrong. Its not a system where you just "have a go" if you never done it before, it will look terrible

I appreciate your input mate and I was really looking forward to it. Something different and new. I've got the rep coming out tomorrow to have a look at it and some other jobs and was going to see what he

Said.? I was going to get some lac on around a small area then the Finnish and see how it comes up. The people are desperate to get it done but I have said if they are not happy with the test area I'll walk away. They have been trying to get someone in for 5 months but because we are in a remote area no one local has ever done anything like it before and trying to get someone involved with experience is like o chance? I told them they should have opted for a different build if they didn't have the guys to Finnish it ?
