I have only ever meshed stress areas on new blockwork. No cracking. Don't think I've ever seen a spec stating that the OCR should be meshed.

Apparently OCR is cracking up at the moment.

It's hard going but the panel I did yesterday using a traditional float was bang tidy.heavy on the arm though.fine power sponge to finish
Do you mesh your walls Rory?
Might try that next week as having all that gear on in one hit it causing some cracking.
Bloody hate full mesh on new blockwork time consuming and mesh every where.

Did one yesterday, we floated by hand then finished with the orange power sponge. Finish was quite good, but next time I think I'll run a car sponge over it straight after.

I tried the float attachment, that was useless.

Didn't have any cracking, but I was laying on by hand, almost killed me I'm aching all over today.

Bobby which sponge did you finish with he orange one have you tried the brown one?

Hand floating OCR is horrible, wish there was an OCR that was like CPI to float.

I have just finished a job using OCR.around 400 m2.
I followed it to spec.i had cracking issues when the sun hits it on application.small micro cracks and some bigger ones also
The past few days I haven't had 1 single crack.
No sun at all on it.
It's a shame as its a great product to use now we have mastered the power sponge system

Rob did you cover the panels up that were in the sun once you'd rubbed up?
No mate was a bit awkward with the elevations.i went back to the job a few hours later to close them in and hose down with water to keep moist.
Didn't expect to have to treat it like a lime render job!!
