Haha Id love to get back into motocross but I cant afford to ride on top of having me cbr, (well maybe if I packed in the raving Id be able to afford it lol) maybe one day!

Yeah i know i was getting very poor air time, it was my first time ever!!! Felt scary. Never done anything like that before. you guys are right though, should have my helmet on. tut tut. Well I now want an action cam for my quad now, plus i could use it on my plastering videos. :-)

Yes this thread has totally digressed off the subject of plastering, I was going to plaster this week end. However i decided i'd rip the floor boards up and lay some 22mm chip board down instead. Some of the old floor boards were damaged and finding replacement 25mm floor board is hard. Just as easy to replace the lot for £100. After ripping them all up I saw the old lath & plaster of the ceiling below. Then i noticed a hole in that. I then found that they have screwed 2"x2" to the ceiling below and plaster boarded it. So tonight I've been ripping the surplus lath & plaster ceiling out. Such a mess.

I'll take a photo.

We always go off-topic, cos we're plasterers mate, like goldfish - short attenshun span - but them old laths, just leave 'em in. What you achieving taking them out?

Look at the notches they have removed from the joist. :RpS_mad:

So my Kitchen ceiling (Room below) could be 3" higher. Thus my plan is remove the lath and plaster, as you can see i'm doing this now. Then next year i can rip the kitchens artex ceiling down + 2"x2" frame and replace with nice plaster board. I told my girlfriend that i'm going to give her an extra 3", she look very impressed.

So anyway this is the delay in my plastering.

lol bubbles, to late :-)

My doggy logic was:
Less weight on the joists.
Next year when i rip the kitchen ceiling down it will be cleaner job.
Raise the kitchen ceiling by 3" as it feels low.

It is either do this all night or be made to sit with my girlfriend watch soap after soap.
