What is best size trowel????

i use the 12x4 five star elite kraft trowel its brill marshy town craap

dont go for the preformed handle they are crap the leather handle is too heavy when wet i got the laminated wooden handle but it feels a bit chunky needs a bit of sanding down but its ok

I have been using an 14" Marshalltown for 3 years now with no probs to be honest. Thinking about buying a new one as mine has nicks out of it and also might be better suited to using a slightly smaller one.

A friend of mine uses a Tysack 12" and reckons smaller trowels are easier to use and more workable?

Will a 12" take longer for me to spread a ceilng/wall than a 14"?

What are you ideas?

i use a 18" for everything and a 20" x 20" hawk took a bit to get used to but i cant use anything else now.its all down to what your used to.but ive gone from 60-70 m2 a day to some time 90-100m2

That increase in speed wont be because of the increase in trowel size that's for sure.

have to disagree you can cover more a lot quicker with a bigger trowel it makes sense and spunky stick to your small trowel, small time

quiktolay ive got 12x4 carbon mate 5star elite carobyn also sell some stainless aswell if you cant be arsed oiling up at end of day
