What is the average cost of damp proofing services

My kid is bugging me about turning our basement into an underground movie theatre. But I want to have it tanked and damp-proofed first before we even begin furnishing the interior. I found this damp proofing experts based on London, and I have already kept in touch with them. But before I close the deal, I want to make sure that I’m getting the right and fair priced service. So is there anyone here who knows the average cost of such a service? I would appreciate some ranges. TIA.
 
I don’t “specialise” in damp proofing but I’d imagine it would be hard to say. There’s different systems used. Prices vary depending on the area you live in.

If you have a good feeling with the people you’ve been speaking to and they’ve come recommended I’d crack on. Its always going to cost a fair bit. All the best

Not a clue tbh but I no it’s not cheap, best advice is if they have a good reputation in the industry it’s a good choice? Iv seen loads of people go for the cheapest or a person that says they can do it but ends up in tears,
 
What is the best way to water proof and sound proof a basement so it can be used as a s*x dungeon ? Asking for a friend .

That’s part of the experience keeping it moist and damp! If anything add some foliage and maybe some medieval attire (y)
 
Full membrane, sump pumps fitted, can come out a high price, don’t cut corners with basements mate , hope it goes well

Get three quotes from damp proofers

Add the quotes together.

Divide that number by three.

The number you arrive at is the average cost.
