As far as I'm aware all the different PVA brands for plastering are the same , just different dilutions
( I know there's a waterproof version but discount this )
PVA is heavier than water
The thicker it is , the heavier it is
So if you measure a litre and weigh it you get a value per £ to compare different brands

Can anyone be arsed

That was the subject of my next post
But don't like to encourage world pollution
Have never bought a bottle of bleach in my life , I'll let you guess how I clean the bog for my missus

Wickes Pva ain’t the same as unibond Pva, no way
 
My college teacher told me PVA is PVA the only difference in brands is if it has been cut with something or not
 
Waterproof pva seals well and don't go tacky again when water or wet plaster is applied. Cost twice as much as plastering PVA.
Method
Dilute waterproof pva to instructions and allow to dry. Bang a cheap plastering pva over and skim is good practice imo.

Or SPR

One coat. Dries quickly especially with fan on blowing air.
Another coat and when tacky plaster.

SBR is a styrene rubber like product I think? Same as she durable emulsions

Thoughts?

Cheaper to SBR Then PVA and less products to stock
