Just over £5 at wickes or b and q. the merchants can't compete with them so I'm said. They asked why I wasn't buying multi from them, so I said match or beat there price and I will but they couldn't!

Is that jewsons stu?
I got that from travis Perkins, the yard used to be Keyline so when it changed to travis they kept my prices. This was emailed to me and I then sent it to jewsons who price matched it for me. The jewsons where I had my account wouldn't match it so I got my account moved to a different jewsons who would. I now go into my first jewsons smug as fk when my prices are loaded at that.

Nice one...good to have a place with good prices

£1 a bag from my local B&Q its out of date by a day i use it for the jobs that week and its fine! easy money!!!!!

You need to friend up the lads that work that side of the shop. I had a mate who worked the trade point. He'd text me when the plaster was coming to date and I would buy it up cheap. Like the yellow sticker joints of meat my mother in law used to get us when she worked in asda.

Nothing there's always a pallet of multi finish under a canopy and always unattended at the local b&q so I use the old five finger discount lol stupid Bilston b&q

£5 a bag including vat seems to be the average ...builder dude I was arguing about price of multi I had priced a pallet at £6 a bag think he losing some £££on work he done on job already and starts trying to get a bit off me. Builders tilers electricians plumbers all make money on gear on top of there price I think making a £1 profit is not ripping anybody..probably would cost a pound in diesel if I picked um up
:cachetada:

4.80 plus so about 5.75 total in the main merchants I use,one merchants down the road is over £7 a bag including!my local b&q is 5.20 a bag,it was £5 untill recently.

It is true with our trade, plaster wise materials are cheap and can be bought by a client for the same or cheaper as what we do so you can't make any money,
Trades like plumbers, sparks and tilers will use places like drain/plumb Center, Tileflair etc where the client can't get the same prices.
I find I make money on bagged renders as that's not something you can buy at the same price!

we used multi yesterday for the 1st time in ages and it was awful, was like spreading treacle

I go in that one now & again, only because I smell the bacon from that snack bar
