just make it look like anyone thats ever had any plastering done EVER!! has had to move their own bleedin furniture...make em feel a muppet for even daring to THINK otherwise..

i always thought people would be good at moving there stuff and wouldnt want u touching there things but me and the gaffer have seen it all, toys over the floor, mess, nothing moved, its a joke some of the situations weve walked into

ive been in places so dirty and untidy u cant even detemine whats your mess and whats theres :o

u wanna tell ure gaffer to sort it out mate!
only time ive come across stuff like that and worked the job was on the windows and by god i could tell u some stories...
then though if it werent moved it got a dust sheet over it...ive actually thrown dust sheets over some lazy bint still in bed, ripped out, fitted and finished, pulled the sheet and the bint hasnt moved!
plastering is a different game though...it is common practice for the customer to move all furniture prior to any building works commencing....there feel better? ::)

it the thing though where u get on with it and do the job or walk away with no money ::)

these were tenants not the house owners so they were not paying for the work so they didnt care

well.....if they dont care then... ;)
if your dealing with 'tennants' on a regular basis a good idea is to 'book them on' or let them know when your gonna be there, what you expect them to do etc...
s**t someones house up cos they aint move owt and theyll tell there neighbours who WILL move the stuff, it wont lose you the job cos it aint their job...

oh they knew we were coming and they knew what they should hav done but the area we were in is scummy area and they dont giv a shite, to busy doing nothing and ready with every excuse under the sun why the house is a tip and y all the wallpaper aint been stripped etc etc

ive learned on this job u never know what your walkin into when doing work for another contarctor, i can see why they pass those ones on to us >:(

sounds like you had a right shitter...
on the windows we just used to treat the customers as they treated us...nowt moved, in and out crap job..
anyone with any self respect, nice job, looked after em cos they looked after us..
